Yesteryear Grill

Once known as Rolands Grill, this eaterie sat on "Old" Highway One about midway between Sanford and Raleigh, in central North Carolina. Now covered in vines, shadows and fading memories.

Once the "new" highway came through a couple of miles east and parallel to this old highway, many such small restaurants and grills simply dried up and blew away due to lack of the traffic generated business.
