We had a mind-blowing few hours at the Getty Center (it is in Los Angeles, so I'll allow the mis-spelling) and I found it hard to decide whether the architecture or the exhibits inside were more interesting. It was a bit of a trek from where we were staing, but worth every mile - I can't reccommend it highly enough.
