A message from my oracle cards...

Dear Diary,

After this past horrific week I decided to consult my I Ching, the first time I have in 2017, and the message was very interesting.  I chose the word "Patience" as my word for the year and twice during my reading that word came up.  The cards always offer me a new perspective into what is happening.  It is also the Chinese New Year and a good time to consult the cards.

I use a very simple form for the reading.  As I saw in China, the I Ching can be a very complex process.  I also love the ink paintings on the cards, by Klaus Holitzka.  The two cards speak to current situations and what I call future trends.  They are not fortune telling cards though.  They simply offer the reader suggestions by which they can frame a question, different perspectives so to speak.

The golden bars on each card, lines of change, are compared and the more different they are from each other the more profound coming change will be.  Mine showed a great deal of change and the figure surrounded by the swirling stroke is probably just how I am feeling right now.  I will try to do as the cards suggest, practice patience and work on my staying power for we must stay the course no matter how long it takes or how difficult it is.
