Solomon Islands
Our stop today didn't seem so interesting at first, as it was quite an industrial area. However, we had prayed that God would guide our footsteps and that's exactly what He did.
We wandered into town, found a museum of local history. Discovered that JFK serving in the American Navy during the Second World War was rescued here after his ship had been sunk by a Japanese Destroyer and he was left swimming from Island to Island till rescued by locals.
As we were leaving the museum we heard wonderful praise music. We asked a member of staff about the Church music and she told us it was coming from an AOG Church just behind the museum. So we went and joined in an amazing service of praise, worship and communion just like our home church. We were made so welcome and it was wonderful to be part of God's family on the other side of the world!
