Dinas Head

I have missed a few days due to feeling unwell and the appalling damp weather we are currently enjoying. This morning there was a brief spell when the gloom lifted  and I captured this view of one of my favourite views. Dinas  Head is often referred to as Dinas Island but is not a true island. The headland is part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and if you follow the path over the headland it is a tough walk however at the base of the island is a short path at sea level that cut out this difficult climb. Equally if you just wish to walk the Head the park your car at the bottom and it is a circular walk, still a tough climb, that brings you back to your car or the local pub if you are in need of refreshment. The farm belongs to the National Trust and is farmed with sheep run in a New Zealand style management system.
