Messy.

Today I've started painting the metal bits on the edge of the chimney. We are using stove paint as it's heat resistant and will hopefully match the stove but it is so messy and stinks. I managed to sand them down and get two coats on but I think it will need a few more before it looks neat enough.
Stu and I only did half a day at the house today as we have been over to Stus sisters. We went to pick up some of Stus things but Sarah cooked us a lovely meal while we were there. We left Dad working at the house as he had some electrics to sort which he needed all he power off for. He did check in once or twice to let us know he was ok but I did feel guilty leaving him there while I ate pasta with Stus family.
