Today started with chaos as the main route from Coalville to Leicester was closed due to an accident so all the traffic normally passing by on the dual carriageway was coming through our village which is a single road with barely enough room for 2 cars to pass and definitely not lorries. It was absolute carnage. It took me 20 mins to get out of the village to try to get Eva to the childminders (18 mins longer than normal!!). By 8.45 i still hadnt even made it to the m1 junction and was at a stand still so had to turn back to take Tobes to school.

Fortunately/unfortunately Mike had been unable to get Gerty to start so hadn't left and had decided to wfh until the traffic calmed down. So he swapped into the car to take Eva on a different route and I took Tobes and somehow managed to leave my phone in the car. Nightmare. So had to meet mike to get it on his way to work.

All happened on a day when I had to squeeze in two new client visits one at the start and one at the end of the day on an already very full and busy day.

Anyway, I managed to catch up somehow. Then managed a cup of tea at home before having to dash out again with everyone in tow to get Eva and then collect the van from Hannah's as it is due for a service tomorrow. Then got stuck in another traffic jam and missed clubbercise as a result. Was gutted.

Neil, Helen and Esme arrived from IOW about 9pm. Toby and Eva had got ready for bed but couldn't sleep as they were really excited about them arriving. Esme was really sleepy and a bit overwhelmed by them excitedly showing her where she was sleeping and lots of their toys etc but we finally managed to sit down to eat and catch up!
