The Low Lowdown

A lovely, relaxed morning allowed me to more fully grasp the President's first week - crikey. I don't want to live in a blowhard nation...

In the afternoon I went to the Cameo Cinema to see T2 Trainspotting. We were treated to a welcome from director Danny Boyle who said the world première of the original film was at the Cameo. I don't want to give away the plot so suffice it to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's always great to see Edinburgh on the big screen.

On my way home I passed Ian Rankin on Lothian Road, as you do... I like that he can walk the streets without hassle.

In the evening I had dinner and a good conversation with a friend. A nice way to round off the weekend.
