Scissors

Sebastien has caught another cold, so we spent most of the day playing quietly indoors. He discovered the therapeutic joy of cutting the edges of a piece of paper with scissors . We also spent a lot of time playing with Legos, doing puzzles, and reading books.

Sebastien also insisted on learning new words, so I made a few more word flashcards for him. He can now read 38 words by sight and he can also recognize them if you spell them out orally for him. I've looked online and apparently it's important not to push kids into reading too early...but this is all coming from him. He asks for new words to learn every few days. I guess as long as he's happy...
