Colourful Dahlias

We visited my Mom's friend today. We meant to stay just a little while, but, 5 cups of tea later, we were still chatting! It was nice, though. I didn't realize that I was actually in the mood for chatting, but I was.

She has a friend with a big acreage, who grew these fantastic dahlias. There were four vases full, so she sent us home with some. I guess she is quite the gardener, too, as she has monster sunflowers and roses!
