The lost sheep....

This is the view from Jock and Marion's farmhouse.   Idyllic and lovely.   I complained to Jock that this is our fourth visit and I had never seen a single sheep.    Given that he has 11,000 of them, this seems a bit bizarre.

Challenged - stung even - he got out the truck.    He has 24,000 acres and he had just "hefted" (as we would say in Scotland) 2,000 of them from around the farmhouse yesterday.    So we set off for a magnificent cross country drive over several sections not far up the road.   And, as you will see in the extras, sheep do actually exist on these premises.   They are merinos - and their fleeces sell very well in the international market.

As does broadband!!!!

Marion is a magnificent cook.   Looking forward to dinner.....
