Visiting my old doctors - moved 2 years ago and never bothered changing. It's only the other side of the park anyway.

So I took the chance to visit an old haunt - I used to live on this street in Battlefield. In the wee houses on the right, not the big older tenements on the left.

Rule of thumb in Glasgow: blonde sandstone tenements are usually older than the red ones.In this particular case, the left hand tenements predate the red ones by about 20 years: when built they had a pleasant view across fields to old Cathcart village, then the city's rapid expansion swallowed them up in red...
