Old and Reliable

I had to take a photo of this before it went in recycling - our very last bottle of Collis Brownes. It expired last May and is no longer being produced. It was a very reliable solution for the 'runs' - one dose would immediately sort it - and it took me a long time to accept that Imodium might be as good. I was very upset to learn that we wouldn't be able to buy it any more, but for many years there was controversy as it contained morphine. It had already been watered down so that drug addicts couldn't so easily make use of it. Apparently they would mix it with milk and it could make them high - no idea why this particular mixture worked for them!

Sorry about the charming subject matter today, but I felt it was a loss that needed marking in some way from my own point of view.
