Ein Opfer Des Glatteises

The title translates as "A Victim of Black Ice" - the genitive case seldom makes an appearance in my little German language diversions.

Ow.  or indeed "Aua" as we say here.  Or indeed "F*ckB*gg*rSh1t" as I said.

I thought nothing of it until I got into the office.  Then I watched my wrist swell.  And my left thumb is now useless (chaps, trying undoing your buttons without using it).

So hospital for me.  X-rays.  Painkillers.  And a rather fetching bandage.

I got off lightly - the hospital was full of people who had accidents like me but came off far worse.  Nothing broken here but a sprained wrist and and a staved thumb.
