Swimming Pool or Aquatic Centre

In my youth the local pool was called a swimming pool but over time the name appears to be changing to aquatic centre. The name implies slides, bouncing castles and fun for the under 10's. My pool, however, is very much a swimming pool (despite it's name) with no fancy attractions. You go there to swim-that's about it! I'm quite happy with this arrangement as it keeps the cost down. Today it reached about 20 degrees so the swimming season is on it's way.
