Maywood

This beautiful house sits on a 1,000 acre estate here in Bridgewater.  It is owned by financier Peter May (who has the dubious honour of being the largest tax payer in town), and in addition to the 10,000 square foot house, there is a spectacular 4,000 square foot greenhouse, a vineyard, 15 acres or so of manicured gardens and orchards, a swimming pool, and acres of woodland.  Every July 4th, the Mays put on a jaw-dropping fireworks display which we locals are allowed to watch from the perimeter of the estate.  As this article states, it's like having a modern day Downton Abbey in our midst!
