Pat and the National Collection
The National Collection of Extension leads.
The annual Portable Appliance Testing session today. (Tangent: everyone says "PAT Testing" but as the T is Test, that's a bit tautological - and there's no 'Electrical' in the acronym so really it ought to be Portable Electrical Appliance testing - PEA Testing. Much better. Now, back to the story...)
This exercise means digging out everything that has a plug on it and sticking a label on it (after testing, naturally). The process reveals that The Dell House contains well over 200 items with plugs on! That's a lot to put back / plug back in again - which is what I've been doing most of the day.
Ironically, the accumulation of extension leads from at least 3 houses is little used these days - I really ought to filter down the collection and take a bundle along to the Heart Foundation shop.
