NO Game Day

So as we arrive at our ninth or tenth week without a club match for the Falmouth RFC U16's the lads, including Joshua, are getting a little disgruntled.
As are a high proportion of the parents, I don't mind paying £50 a year in order for Josh to play rugby but the key word here is play. It's not enough for the club to offer training once a week and I appreciate that it's not all the clubs fault and especially not the individual coaches.
There is a decline in youth rugby in Cornwall with what looks like only about five clubs with effective youth sections.
I console myself with the facts that a) there is less likelihood of Josh sustaining an injury which might cause a deferment to his joining the Army in September and b) this time next season he will be playing 'service' rugby and enjoying it.
