High tide reflection

Taken for the A Year with my Camera course. Moving the camera during a 1.4s exposure. 


It was interesting to try moving the camera during exposure. It really didn't improve most subjects, and you might think it hasn't helped this one :-). There is a quality to the sky, and the trees on the right that I like, though.

A couple of surprises. I needed an ND filter to avoid over-exposure even on a grey winter day. And a few attempts came out quite sharp when I mistimed moving the camera with pressing the shutter. Bearing in mind this camera lacks image stabilisation, I could probably hand-hold long exposures much more than I do.
