Popping Red

Waxwings: It's like waiting for buses - there aren't any for years then suddenly ..... 

I just had to see if the waxwings were still around Gloucestershire and thankfully they were today. Wonderful to see as they fed on the hawthorn berries lining the roadside and still drawing the crowds! The people in the neighbourhood were really friendly and helpful which was a refreshing change as I fully could have understood if they didn't want long lenses pointed in their windows by twitchers in camo gear! A dodgy looking bunch at the best of times  :)
