From a Railway Carriage
The journey back from Scotland didn't look to be off to an auspicious start, with the platform at Waverley almost as crowded as the Tube in rush hour and the train running late. However to my surprise I got a seat easily enough and the rest of the trip went smoothly enough. At some point south of Carlisle I got to the end of my book and whiled away the time by taking long exposure pictures with my camera held against the train window to see what sort of picture I would get. This is one of the best results - I've got no idea exactly what gave it such a great set of stripes or even where it was - possibly on the approach to Preston station.
