Golden Afternoon Light Through Snow

It was a very strange day, weather-wise. Conditions alternated between beautiful blue skies with puffy clouds, and whiteouts.

Whiteouts can be deadly if you are traveling. One minute, everything is clear and you are sailing right along. The next minute, there is a wall of white and you can't see your hand in front of your face.

Several major highways in Pennsylvania experienced traffic accidents, and multiple-car pile-ups closed interstates. But since I work at home on Mondays, we were safe at home.

I looked out the deck windows in mid-afternoon to see this scene. The snow was pelting down, but the was shining through the storm.

Every single snowflake seemed to be dancing merrily in the golden light, and for a few minutes, it looked just like heaven.
