Reflect at a different angle

Having been reprieved by Dr from my 4 hour treatment, Mrs J and I decided to have lunch and a stroll in Besalu.

Lunch at el Cinq Sentit was true delight, fresh local produce , a gastronomic menu of five courses, wine included at only €14.50 per head. a Keeper of a restaurant this one!

After a post prandial stroll through the roman remains, the medieval wall and the remains of the castle, all beautifully preserved and informatively signed we headed back across the bridge. The sun highlighted the stone and the river was calm enough to really produce a mirror image. people nearly always take the bridge from the river bank but sometimes it pays to look down not up.
