Tiny shells

The wind is STILL blowing(is it March or what?!) but it is finally not so freezing cold..as a matter of fact the actual temperature was about 72F(22C) so it was a good day to get a walk done.   I wanted to walk somewhere different than along our road so I drove about 8 miles to a little park and boat ramp that is at the lake on a cove.   

Just one section of the beach area had these shells. I can't figure out why they are not all along the area but they are not..just in this red mud area.   There were thousands!  I just happened to look down to see these two tiny shells next to the bigger one.
