After the rain

Water droplets glistening on the branches. Mild and very still as MrM and I walked on Wooler Common with Louie this morning. Maybe it's the calm before the storm - according to this morning's news headlines, 'Doris' is on her way to batter us with gale-force winds and heavy rain on Friday, but hopefully their predictions are wrong!

Imbolc - the light's getting stronger and signs of spring are beginning to appear. Carpets of snowdrops by the road sides, and other spring bulbs pushing through the soil. Traditionally it's time to let go of the past and look to the future. Seems a good idea to me, this year especially!

But, for now, another form to complete before another day of aimless pottering R&R...
