What a difference a day makes

This is what I should have been able to see yesterday from our balcony that the cloud and snow obscured. Today was definitely a day of two halves. It was still very cloudy and snowing this morning so we delayed going out until about 10am. It had snowed all night so there was about nine inches of new snow. The temperatures are relatively mild so the snow is a heavy rather than powder. We spent a couple of hours struggling through deep snow in very little or zero visibility. After taking a break for lunch it changed dramatically, the sun shone and we were treated to a glorious afternoon of skiing.
