At my favourite cinema  - Duke's at Komedia in Brighton - best hummus and toasted sourdough for lunch, free tea or coffee and biscuits for pensioner members.

As to the film. What to say?

Profound, profane, violent, lyrical, funny, horrifying, dramatic, tender, redemptive, great music, fantastic acting, brief appearance by the man himself Irvine Welsh. All credit to the genius Danny Boyle. A must see.

Slightly unbelievable - in view of all the violence inflicted on Renton, Ewan McGregor's face remained unscathed!
