Ducks

In cricket, if a batsman is out without scoring a run, he or she is said to be "out for a duck" - presumably because the score of 0 looks like an egg.  If he/she is out for a duck off the first ball he/she receives, that is said to be a "golden duck."

I have just finished watching, on TV, a calamitous performance by England losing an international match against India, in which no fewer than 5 England batsmen were out for ducks, 2 of them golden. I was stuck for a Blip today so this immediately sprang to mind.

OK, the pictured duck isn't actually gold as such - it is brass - but, hey...
