031 — Bag Love

Today's assignment from the book "Vision 365: Mastering the Everyday Practice of Seeing": photograph texture.

I love this bag. Confession time, I own a lot of bags. I don't believe in there being one Babur there that will do everything I want it to do, just not possible, so I have more than a few bags. Inevitably there is some crossover, but this bag is awesome as an everyday carry and photography bag (or combination thereof) .

Now it is well built and featured, so it's not the lightest, but it is refined, packed with thoughtful and useful features and should stand the test of time. The bag is constructed, in the most part, of waterproofed Korda Weave (similar to Cordura nylon) which is a nice looking and feeling fabric.

The day went by, busy with work and rescuing Mel and Elowyn when our main car broke down. This bag was with me all day and when I didn't get time to shoot something for today's subject of texture I took a few close-up photos of the bag. Here's one that best shows the texture. Thanks for looking.
