Slow Day at the Farmers' Market

The storm threat kept away a lot of vendors and customers alike, but the band played on, upbeat and engaging. The Drinking Chocolate booth in the back is one of my favorites--a local start-up that makes an excellent product. We came home with a string bag of oranges, some apples, lettuce mix, fish for tonight's dinner, shitakes for tomorrow, leeks and potatoes for soup, a shortbread cookie and a chocolate biscotti.
