28 doors - House of Correction
Dating back to the mid 1800s this door belongs to the 'House of Correction' in the centre of the village. It's a Grade 2 listed building about 10ft square and from what I remember was used to house local miscreants overnight before being sent to trial.
There's a lovely picture of it on the Frith collection website taken around 1900.
