Pine Resin

The distinctive smell of pine resin and the noise of chain saws, seem to be in every part of the village today.....as the teams are carefully cutting up the large branches and trunks of the fallen pine trees, so that they can be moved away.
It's a messy business, and the men are well protected with helmets and full face visors.
Linking our village with the next town, we have a relatively new road bridge....which has also sustained damage in the storms.....so one carriageway has had to be closed for at least 2 days.....to effect repairs.
Traffic is already moving at a snail's pace, because the beach road has had to be closed....now the buses are being re-routed, too....ugh!
