Straight road

Sadly this morning, we took leave of our apartment in Plett and of our wonderful hosts. Then it took most of the day to travel back towards Cape Town. The N2, or Garden Route, links Cape Town with Port Elizabeth and this was the road we travelled. It is amazing how straight it is a lot of the way, just like Roman roads.(This picture was taken from the car and was better than one might expect because the guys at the petrol stations make such an excellent job of cleaning the windows.)
 
We are now in Fishhoek on the coast of the Cape Peninsula, not that far from Cape Town, and are settled here for a few days. (Thats the place I have put on the location map, rather than the place this photo was taken!)
 
Thank you again for all the comments, stars and favourites given for my elephant blip. It is lovely to see it riding high on the Popular page. We have happy memories of watching those wonderful animals.
