Signs of spring

The crocuses are just beginning to appear in the parks. In a week or two there will be great swathes of orange, purple and white crocuses taking over the some of the grassy areas.

The dogs and I had to take a slight detour in our walk ..... no access to the small pond owing to the cutting down of a dead tree.  The usual inhabitants had taken refuge in the large pond until it was safe to return to the reeds.
