no smoke without fire

Today I built a DIY 10 $ light tent (well it actually cost 4.5 euros).
One of the things that i wanted to do was picture a steaming hot cup of coffee, however despite my best attempts I could not get enough smoke from a hot coffee. So i improvised by putting a lit incense stick in the mug :). Like i said no smoke without fire.
The background is black chart paper, sidelight using natural light reflected using some aluminum foil. Made about 50 exposures with different subjects, light is a finicky mistress and I am still not 100% satisfied. I need to read more of this book chapter 3, management of reflections ...
