The Inglenook

. My granddaughter and husband visited from Colorado and their first sightseeing stop was 'The Eagle 'pub 1667, known as the drinking and thinking hub. This was where Watson and Crick announced they had discovered the secret of life...The Double Helix. They were interested to see the RAF bar where the ceiling is covered in graffiti from WW2, showing names and squadrons of the servicemen from East Anglia bases. I then took them to see King's college chapel, Trinity and St John's colleges. Although it was a dull day, there was no wind or rain thank goodness and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Back home, and other family members came to dinner to meet up with them.
