Patient Heron

This is one very patient heron. When I took Mylo for his 6am walk, it was perched on this log- sadly i didn't have my camera. It was still there as I returned home. As I readied myself for work, I noticed that the sun had come up to shine along the river where the heron had been. So, an hour after I had first seen it, I managed to get this shot on my way to work. A very obliging Heron!!
