Cleansing Ceremony

The building our office is in held a tradition aboriginal cleansing ceremony this morning. I have very little knowledge of this so hopefully I won't get it wrong but as I understand it involves burning various native plants to produce smoke, which is believed to have cleansing properties and the ability to ward off bad spirits.

Whatever the reasoning the smell from the burnt leaves was amazing! Reminded me a little of the souks in Muscat.
