Rockrose in the Wind
Back to Mora today for M's dentist appointment...
Stopped on the way for a quick walk on the island inbetween the two bridges across the Lake - the dark green vegetation is starting to be sprinkled with esteva flowers, or gum rockrose (cistus ladanifer), used as a fixative in perfumes, amongst other things. Difficult to get in focus as the wind was blowing it about like crazy. The petals are like tissue paper, but I only found out now that they smell good - will examine more closely next time...
