Locked in an eternal kiss
I drove from Salisbury to Avebury to see the famous Avebury Stone Circle and a few other prehostoric sites in the area. It was quite an enjoyable experience and the stones became fuel to my imagination where I started seeing faces immortalized on the stones. I even came up with my own story on how the stones came about! Lol! Tsk tsk, I think i've been left on my own for far too long!
I met up with a tour group and we headed to the Stonehenge for a special twilight tour. It was a tour limited to only 24 of us and let me tell you, it cost me an arm at least! Lol! It was very much worth the money I paid though and loved every minute of my semi-private viewing of the Stonehenge. There was something special about the place. It's hard for me to explain but I suddenly felt very emotional as soon as I reached the front of the Stonehenge. I felt like crying to be honest and it was the weirdest feeling that I couldn't explain. It was a very heavy feeling and didn't really go away until I reached the hostel and started talking to one of the guests about the place.. I don't regret going and i'm so glad I did. It was actually hard to leave, weird.
The photo here is one of the Avebury Stones and to my eye they appeared like lovers locked in a kiss. Can you see them? It was so very romantic and cute. If I do eventually write a short story about the Avebury Stones, this couple will definitely play a big part of that story. It might end up as a children's story only meant for my 11 nephews and nieces though but the idea is already germinating in my head!
