Varadero day 1

Stormy start.

A little lie in this morning as it was the first morning in paradise. Well it would have been if the weather was brighter but sadly we were under grey, cloudy sky's once again. We had breakfast then our meeting with Jesus (local guide), with that name maybe we were in for some divine intervention for the weather or not.


Although cloudy it was still warm and the sun tried hard to get through the cloud so we still chilled out by the pool. The relaxing day for us proved to be our downfall as Claire felt rough in the afternoon and evening and I didn't feel 100%. I left Claire by the pool to have a little walk along the beach and my first glimpse of broken skies were viewed.


Tomorrow could be a brighter day!?!?!

After being undecided whether to go to dinner or not as Claire was still not feeling right we opted to go and we both felt better for it. I think we needed to drink a lot more water in the day than we did. The evening ended with a show of rock and roll which was quite good if not a bit cheesy. Then all that was left was to climb the stairway to heaven, well actually the three flights of stairs to our room, which is tough going in the heat.
