Puerta de Atocha

The modern extension of the iconic Madrid railway station where I arrived this morning off the 9.00 am train from Barcelona.   The two and a half hour non-stop ride went past in a flash helped by me being sound asleep for the entire journey.  I did the embassy passport hand-in for my next Egyptian visa and then repaired to my hostal for a nap and gentle work.   Now out for a stroll in grey and cold conditions but they are nothing compared to those in Vienna earlier this week.
