From under the canopy I can see them but they can't see me. They're arguing on their walk. He tries to walk ahead, she quickens her step. He yells at her to leave him alone. She tries to catch up again. They're out of view now but within earshot. He yells again. I make a mental note of the time, their clothing and faces in the event someone washes up in the creek. I watch too many murder mysteries.
My sweetie Lois who had a horrible health scare a few months ago is home and walking around the block every day with her fancy walker. She walked across the street today to talk to me as I did some speed gardening and told me she may have to redeem the gardening-help coupon I made her for her birthday last year. Erm, that was the idea. So I spent a half hour weeding and watering her sidewalk plants. Then she emerged from her little house again to tell me that she tore the coupon up because it had been redeemed. I pointed out that it was for a DAY of gardening help and she promised to tape it back together. Oh dearie me. So adorable.
