Portrait of a Gangsta
Off to Nottingham first thing this morning to undertake a photoshoot for a client.
I'd opted to use Michael Lau's studio as it hosts a variety of backdrops as well as having lights, and also has windows to let in natural light.
Since the weather was dull, the natural light portraits didn't work out. So we resorted to a single light. Michael had to remind me what the settings were on the light, and move it. He really needs to mount the lights on a wheeled trolley.
Afterwards, I hung around as there was to be a group photoshoot in the evening. No point coming and going from Nottingham twice in a day.
Michael and I had to work out the ordering options on the Domino's Pizza website. I eventually ordered two gluten free meaty feast pizzas. Seems a bit overkill, I know, but the gluten free pizzas are only eight inches across. I did enjoy them, despite the expense.
A nap on the studio couch in the afternoon with Basil jumping up on me to keep me warm. Richard arrived around 5 pm with his changes of clothes. The others drifted in between 5 and 6 pm.
Richard has been very taken with the 'Peaky Blinders' TV series, has gone on a couple of taster sessions, and bought his clothes and accessories off eBay. He's a super photogenic model who comes out very well with gritty, monochrome treatment. See my album of him on flckr.
