Pinxter Azelea
The Pinxter Azelea is a plant native to the Southeastern U.S. It is often found growing in oak forests and along rivers and creeks. This one is growing in our BackBack. I planted quite a few native azaleas 8 or so years ago and they are a real treat to see blooming at this time of the year. Since they are native plants, they need very little care. Sometimes, when it's been very dry, I hose water them. But that's it! The Fungi in the background are probably Lenites of some type...sorry I don't know my Fungi.
