Ruined seat

I walked into Colinton village again today and found this ruined bench beside the path, complete with sapling growing up through it.

Also welcomed an old friend and colleague who has gone on to very great things in academia as a Humboldt professor in Tuebingen where they are building a department around him. He is still Heather's godfather though and it is wonderful to welcome him and his wife; we have not seen them for a few years.
