Steampunk Pat

What a mighty fine day it has been today. Pat, Stuart and I whizzed off to Victoria Station to meet up with Sue and catch the train to York for a corset wearing top hat toting bit of steampunkery fun. The lovely Kit267 had organised a blipmeet at York Railway Museum and fourteen wonderful blippers turned up. It was lovely to be greeted by a kiss on the hand by the delightful jankerman.

There was the obligatory tea and cake and then a jolly good meander amongst the steam trains. Pat is a professional poser, I cannot compete with her....although when you're in your steampunk finery you just have to pose for a blipper or two and a few other camera wielding visitors....oh it was fun.

A few of us then went on a wander around town in the glorious sunshine before catching the train home again. It was like being part of a select club when we passed other steampunkers....a nod, a smile, a hello, a tip of the hat....brilliant. I am shattered, but what a grand day out....I look forward to the next one.
