Sculling
For the last week or so, MrM has been trying to persuade me to think about what sort of car we should look at as a replacement for our beloved 'Pongo'. I have been less than enthusiastic at the very thought of acquiring another car but, of course, MrM's right. Our courtesy car goes back whence it came on Monday morning, and after that we will be carless in Wooler.
We had been talking about trading in the 'Pongo', maybe at the beginning of next year, for a 'Yeti'. So, having done some research, MrM made an appointment to test drive one in Durham this afternoon. We He liked it, and we made the decision! Deposit paid, it will be ours when the money comes through from the insurance company.
Then a quick stroll by the river with Louie. A sculling race was in progress - this pair seemed to be having trouble negotiating the bridge! After a bite to eat MrM drove us back to Wooler via Alnwick for a supermarket shop. 'Twas good to get home...
