Downloading
On the day that Steve J Sasson the developer of the first digital camera was honoured I started to download my 900+ images taken in Venice.
Amazing to think that these two tiny cards contain what would have required about 30 films just a few years ago.
The cost would have been enormous, plus an extra packet to be taken through the airport with the possibility of damage in the x-ray machines.
In those days I would have been working in medium format which would have used up the impossible number of 80 rolls of film. No wonder we weren't so prolific in film days.
Whether that is a good thing or not is a matter for debate.
