Gerald Holtom lives on

I managed to talk Mr CG into a walk by the river this afternoon. It was cold, wet and miserable so we turned back after 15 mins. So much for my resolution to go out more often!
This was the only thing we saw that wasn't brown or grey. I'm guessing it has been there for some years but someone once felt passionate enough to paint it.  Gerald Holtem designed the symbol in 1958 for CND but it is now universally used to represent peace
